I am writing this note to thank you for all that you have done for Brutus, our four-pound Chihuahua. Since he has completed the initial phase of your training program, he is much more obedient and much calmer.
At first, our hearts sank when you told us that he would have to stay with you for several days in order to receive his training. We were concerned about his interaction with the other bigger dogs, with his ability to “listen to us” if you were doing the training, and with how much we would miss him.
None of our fears were realized. Brutus is able to follow our “sit/stay/heel” commands and we are no longer concerned about him trying to run away every time an exterior door is opened. The minimal amount of heartache that we experienced during Brutus’ absence from our home has been more than outweighed by his dramatically improved behavior.
As a senior citizen, I don’t get around as well as I used to and I was not able to keep up with Brutus. Without your help, I wouldn’t have been able to keep him. While he’s not quite perfect yet, his continued training has become a “family affair.” Becky, my daughter-in-law, comes over on a daily basis. Together, we reinforce the training that you have given Brutus.
Clarke, we want to thank you once again for how much you have helped us. Your caring and compassion show through in your unique ability to work with and train dogs of all ages, shapes, and sizes.
